In addition, public policies that promote intermodal cooperation and competition among network industries covering such topics gas/electric planning, water/electric utility planning, telecom/electric utility Internet of Things offerings. In relation to energy research, my focus is in: regulations to support new environmentally friendly and flame retardant building materials, design of new communication systems for the smart grid based on Software Defined network technology, and regulatory initiatives in telecom that can carry over to the electric utility industry
